Detailed description

Tutellus is the leading collaborative educational platform (EdTech) in the Spanish-speaking world. Working without interruption since 2013, currently the company has over 120,000 video courses, one million students in 160 countries, and agreements with over 80 Universities and Business Schools. Our main product is the video course. A user or school of any kind can create a video course on any topic and, after a quality check, publish it in Tutellus, with the users getting access to it by paying a price established by the teacher.

Tutellus aims to break the status quo, introducing a new paradigm in the student-teacher relationship with the creation of a new decentralized system to strengthen the commitment of both students and teachers. Tutellus is the first educational platform that pays students for learning (proof of learning) and remunerates the teachers according to their impact in the success of their students (proof of teaching).

Problem

Learning in an EdTech platform is a hard and expensive process if you want to improve your skills enough to get a job. And you can't make money by doing it: people can not get out of poverty by studying. So there are four main problems in the Educational sector:

  • High Costs - People cannot earn money studying, only spend it. And it's expensive
  • Low Motivation - Students lack motivation, so they leave education behind
  • Low Value - Teachers cannot earn money depending on their value
  • Unemployment - A huge gap exists between employment and education

Solution

The solution: a platform that pays you for learning. Tutellus solves those problems in a very simple way:

  1. More Money - Students earn Relevance (and money) learning, without paying
  2. More Motivation - Students gain the motivation to help other users to learn
  3. More Value - Teachers get more value with the success of their students
  4. More Benefits - Companies can hire employees with an efficient matching process
