Detailed description

Kiip is a mobile advertising company redefining how brands connect with consumers through a moment-based platform that targets significant moments in the apps people use every day. This innovative approach to mobile marketing creates meaningful engagements driven by positive emotion between users, developers and advertisers.

To date, Kiip has worked with more than 500 brands, including Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s, Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and McDonald’s, and is integrated into more than 7,000 mobile apps. Founded in 2010, Kiip has raised more than $32 million in venture capital and is backed by Hummer Winblad, Relay Ventures, True Ventures, Verizon Ventures, U.S. Cellular, American Express Ventures, IPG and others.

Problem

Digital advertising industry has grown and matured at an astounding rate, attracting large, dominant forces such as Google and Facebook, as well as droves of smaller advertising technology companies. Despite all of the innovation happening in ad tech, the digital advertising supply chain has been forgotten and has become so complex that it is no longer manageable.

Digital advertisers have also forgotten their biggest priority: the user. As it currently stands, the user is taken advantage of, their data resold, all for an annoying experience without anything in return.

Solution

Blockchain has the potential to change mobile advertising forever. Here at Kiip, we see blockchain:

  • Providing transparency along the supply chain.
  • Simplifying reconciliation and third-party ad verification for billing and viewability/fraud detection by offering a single source of truth for all parties along the supply chain.
  • Offering a dependable revenue share model to all participants, including publishers.
  • Recognizing the end-consumer in a meaningful and memorable way.
